At Grup de Recerca en Electromagnetisme i Comunicacions (GRECO) we conduct research and development in radio communications, applied electromagnetism and nanotechnology. Our expertise in radio communication systems includes four generation wireless systems, power line communications and HF ionospheric systems. Also we have a new research line in vehicular technology. In applied electromagnetism we have expertise in microwave systems and electromagnetic compatibility.

According to our university’s vision, our research activities follow a realistic style, sensitive to the ever-changing technology and in close contact with industry and the needs of today’s society. As a result, we cover all phases from design, analytical evaluation and simulation until implementation and verification. In GRECO we are interested in participating in both research projects from public funding, and in applied research and engineering projects with industry.

GRECO belongs to the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications from Enginyeria i Arquitectura La Salle, Universitat Ramon Llull. It is sited in La Salle’s Barcelona Campus, which is located in the upper part of the city.

Apart from research and engineering we are involved in undergraduate education, primarily in Telecommunication Engineering, but also in Electronic Engineering, Telematics Engineering, Computer Engineering and Multimedia Engineering. Moreover we are involved in special courses for companies and in the PhD programme “Information Technologies and their Management”.
